1. Why should I replace the air filter in my home? +
Regularly replacing filters will keep your home cleaner and help reduce dust and hair on floors,
shelves, and more. If you suffer from allergies like a stuffy nose, itchiness, or breathing
problems, it's even more important to change your air filter regularly. In addition, regularly
changing your filter can improve the efficiency of your HVAC system.

Generally speaking, the best MERV filter rating for your home is between 8-10. These filters will
capture most airborne particles and improve indoor air quality without significantly increasing your
energy costs.
3. What does MERV mean? +
The Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value is a way to measure how efficient an air filter is. With a

Replacing the filter is simple. First, turn off the power to the unit. Locate the area with the air
filter near the air supply and remove the plate. Then remove the spent filter. Check the airflow
arrows and install the new filter. Make sure the airflow arrow on the filter is pointing toward the
unit, then replace the cover. Finally, turn on the unit.

filter needs, the filter media can be made of many different types of material, including
fiberglass, polyester, cotton, and more.
9. What MERV-rated filter do you provide? +
Trightfilters offers MERV-8, MERV11 and MERV-13 rated air filters that capture and block 85% to 98%
of airborne particles. Normal homes and businesses would benefit by just using MERV-8 filters.

require higher air quality.
